Another round of Photosynthesis is here! This week’s theme — Leaves — is just in time, as the winds shake them from the trees and forecasters call for snow.

A simple study in autumn leaves may bring to mind the words of John Burroughs, “How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.” (Photo/Chris Carruth)
We appreciate all of the submissions we received this week from contributing photographers, marking the beauty of autumn before the winter arrives.
Our next theme takes a slight turn from the natural environment to the human-made environment: Industrial Colorado. From steam and smokestacks, to generators, to plants (and not the leafy kind), where do you see industry amid the Colorado landscape? More important, how do you see it?
We look forward to your submissions for this next round of Photosynthesis. Please send up to three images to multimedia@theboulderstand.org before midnight on Sunday, Nov. 25. The top selected images will be posted on Wednesday Nov. 28.
Happy shooting!
